Your Journey, My Support

Guiding women through life’s challenges with trauma-informed somatic therapy.

Who I help

Survivors of Complex Relational Trauma with Complex PTSD

If you’re here, you might be feeling like anxiety and overthinking are taking over your life. Maybe you’re finding it hard to set boundaries or constantly attracting the wrong people. It’s exhausting. You deserve to feel valued, connected, and in control of your life. It’s not about being perfect. Our therapy journey aims to find balance and build a healthy relationship with yourself and others by strengthening the mind-body connection to build self-trust and alleviate the distressing emotional, psychological, and physical symptoms of complex PTSD.

How I help

Somatic Psychotherapy–Heal from the inside out

Somatic psychotherapy is an integrative, body-centric type of therapy for mental health challenges, including anxiety and trauma. This ‘bottom-up’ approach promotes interoceptive awareness–knowing your internal state at any given moment—and allowing this ‘felt sense’ to encourage practices that support nervous system regulation. Together, we’ll work to create an internal state of safety to help you release emotions held deeply in your body so you can fully experience all feelings without overwhelm and, ultimately, change your relationship with anxiety and heal the wounds of complex trauma.

About me

A somatic psychotherapist helping women just like you across New Jersey

I’ve walked the same path as many of my clients, struggling to cope with the far-reaching impact of complex trauma on my health and relationships. Healing, to me, is embracing self-acceptance and cultivating self-compassion, which isn’t always easy. Still, it’s an ongoing process I welcome, and the journey to wholeness has profoundly shaped my work and fueled my passion to support other survivors on their journey home to their authentic selves.

My Journey

Before recovering from complex trauma, I was extremely self-conscious, distrusting everyone, and completely detached from my emotions. I tried to avoid fear and loneliness by seeking approval and striving for perfection, but this only increased my anxiety and disconnection from my true self. Starting therapy was a turning point for me, helping me to understand and heal those deep wounds. This personal journey inspired me to become a therapist and guide others on their paths to healing.

My Approach

As a licensed psychotherapist, I provide a safe place where you can share your story free from judgment and learn to respond to life’s challenges with curiosity and compassion. I especially enjoy helping women overcome anxiety and recover from relational trauma and chronic stress from complex PTSD using somatic psychotherapy, a modality that combines psychotherapy and body-centered therapies. This holistic approach to healing nurtures the intimate connection between the mind and body to process and ultimately release emotions stored in the body.

There’s little difference between me as a therapist and who I am in ”real life” because I bring my whole self to each therapeutic relationship–You deserve that! I have no intention of hiding parts of myself. What you see is what you get when you work with me, and I accept that may not be for everyone. My approach is warm, conversational, and relational. Humans are social beings, so we cannot heal in isolation—we heal and grow through relationships with others. It’s not unusual for me to shed a tear when a client shares an achievement or milestone, laugh out loud, or share a quick story if I believe it can help you feel less scared or ashamed and help you see that creating a life beyond a toxic relationship or trauma is possible. You deserve to be happy, healthy, and free from the false beliefs about yourself that have held you back from your highest potential.

My vision

I empower women to transform their trials into triumphs by engaging their bodies’ wisdom. Through a unique blend of somatic, contemplative, and spiritual practices, I guide women toward wholeness with empathy and compassion. My vision is to help women embrace their authenticity, liberate themselves from limiting beliefs and destructive patterns, and create a life filled with joy and purpose. Life isn’t about enduring; it’s about thriving, and I’m here to help you do just that.

My Experience

In my free time

When I’m not working or moonlighting as an Uber driver for my two kids, I read, create, or binge something on Netflix with my menagerie—two black labs, a cat, and a free-roaming bunny. I’ve been an animal lover my whole life, bringing unwanted puppies, feral kittens, and other wounded critters home to be cared for and, as a young adult, becoming an advocate for animals through volunteerism and now vegetarianism.

I believe in the power of simple lifestyle changes like good nutrition and breaking a sweat every day. My circle of humans is small but tight. Childhood was chaotic and frightening, so now, I cherish quiet stillness and solitude, and running daily through the woods with my dogs is my favorite pastime. My holistic approach to therapy can help you establish a wellness routine that optimizes mental health and well-being so you can reach your full potential and experience more joy.

Things that keep me grounded:

Morning meditation, being outdoors, staring at the night sky, writing, being with animals, and remembering all is one.

Mini-obsessions:

Esotericism, art and office supplies, Surrealism, DoorDash, naps, silence.

Things I'm practicing:

Buddha nature, going to bed earlier, connecting with others, Focusing and faith over fear!

Favorite places & spaces:

My home, the beach, a barn, the library, parks and trails, anywhere I can bring my dogs.

Somatic Therapy for Anxiety and Trauma

The symptoms of trauma, including anxiety, are not only of the mind–they are experienced in the physical body as well. Healing, then, must treat the mind and body as one.

Embodiment

Our bodies constantly communicate with us, but many people have become numb to their physical and emotional experiences, unable to feel pain or pleasure. Cultivating embodied self-awareness increases feelings of safety, promoting personal growth and resilience.

Mindfulness

Mindfulness fosters curiosity about our present-moment experience without judgment. By deepening your internal focus, you’ll increase your capacity to experience all emotions with less reactivity.

Integration

Wholeness develops when painful experiences and personal hardships are neither ignored nor do they consume our energy. By integrating the body’s wisdom with our thoughts and behaviors, resilience and self-acceptance grow.
