Personal Development Coaching

Your Journey Starts Here

Something inside you is ready for more—a fresh direction, a long-held dream, or simply the breathing room to explore what’s possible. Maybe your vision is clear, but you struggle to get started. Perhaps you’ve accomplished a lot, yet wonder, “Is this really what I want?”

You don’t need a polished plan or all the answers. Bring your hopes, ideas, and even your fear of failure. Coaching offers a supportive partner who recognizes your strengths, helps you see new possibilities, and provides practical tools and accountability to move toward what matters to you.

Any of this Sound Familiar?

My personal development coaching is a collaborative, future-focused partnership that helps you clarify what matters, address obstacles, and turn your goals into purposeful action.

My approach is personalized and relationship-driven, combining structure with flexibility. Together, we build on your strengths and develop practical strategies that reflect your goals, responsibilities, and available time and energy—with support and accountability to help you follow through.

Personal Development Coaching

What We Might Work On

Coaching is Shaped by Your Goals, Aspirations, & Unique Journey

Our work might focus on:

01

Leadership & Professional Growth

Strengthen your self-awareness and ability to lead under pressure. Use mindfulness and awareness of your stress responses to approach competing demands and important decisions with greater clarity and intention.
02

Professional Relationships

Communicate clearly, manage conflict, and strengthen professional relationships. Practice expressing your needs, offering feedback, and setting expectations within challenging workplace and team dynamics.
03

Leadership Without Burnout

Identify the demands and patterns leaving you depleted as a leader or executive. Explore delegation, workload adjustments, boundaries, and recovery practices that support a more sustainable way of leading.

04

Work-Life Balance

Make more room for relationships, interests, and rest. Set limits around work and use mindfulness and nervous system regulation skills to help you switch off and become more present outside of work.
05

Career Direction & Decisions

Clarify your values, explore career possibilities, and consider the trade-offs involved in your next move. Choose your next steps with greater confidence and direction.
06

Confidence & Self-Trust

Recognize how self-doubt influences your choices. Build confidence through small experiments and meaningful action to strengthen your decision-making and ability to take thoughtful risks.

07

Ideas & Passion Projects

Clarify your vision for a business, passion project, or new opportunity. Explore possibilities, identify the resources you need, and create a practical starting point.
08

Planning & Follow-Through

Translate your vision into achievable priorities. Break goals into practical steps, anticipate obstacles, and build accountability to help you execute your plan and adapt as circumstances change.

Why Choose A Therapist Trained Coach

My background as a licensed psychotherapist brings an understanding of motivation, emotions, relational dynamics, and the change process to our coaching work. I combine that perspective with structure and purposeful action to help you put insight into practice.

Work With Your Capacity for Change

Sustained pressure and habitual stress responses can make it harder to focus, make decisions, and follow through. Together, we can:

  • Notice how stress affects your attention, communication, and choices
  • Practice grounding and mindfulness before demanding meetings or difficult conversations
  • Build your ability to stay present with discomfort as you try new behaviors
  • Create plans that reflect your available time and energy, including room for recovery

A Framework for Growth

I use the GROW coaching model to structure our work:

  • Goal: Define what you want to achieve and why it matters
  • Reality: Assess your current situation, strengths, resources, and obstacles
  • Options: Explore possibilities and paths forward
  • Will: Decide what you’ll do next and how you’ll follow through

My approach also draws on principles from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Positive Psychology, and mindfulness, applied within a coaching framework to clarify values and strengthen motivation.

Build on What’s Already Working

We’ll identify strengths, habits, and resources that already help you succeed—including those you may take for granted—and explore how to apply them in new situations.

Challenge Assumptions & Uncover Blind Spots

Thoughtful questions and honest feedback can help you recognize patterns, consider how others experience your leadership or communication, and explore options you may have overlooked.

Assess, Adapt & Advance

We’ll regularly review what’s working, where you’re getting stuck, and what you’re learning. Setbacks offer information we can use to adjust your approach while keeping your larger goals in view.

Personalized Support

My coaching includes support to help you apply what we discuss in everyday life. Depending on our agreed arrangement, this can include:

  • Unlimited messaging between sessions for updates, questions, and feedback, with response expectations established at the start
  • Brief, regular check-ins to review commitments and address obstacles
  • Customized resources, such as planning frameworks, reflection prompts, guided meditations, or habit trackers
  • Individualized accountability tailored to what motivates you and helps you follow through

I work with a select number of coaching clients to provide focused attention and responsive support. During your consultation, we’ll discuss a session schedule and support arrangement that fits your needs.

Coaching Isn't Therapy

Coaching focuses on personal and professional growth, goals, and action. Although my clinical background informs my approach, coaching does not include mental health diagnosis or treatment and is not a substitute for psychotherapy.

If therapy would be a better fit or a helpful additional support, we can discuss options. For New Jersey residents, this may include exploring my psychotherapy services; elsewhere, I can help you find resources for locating a licensed therapist.

How is coaching different from therapy?

Coaching focuses on personal and professional goals, decisions, and follow-through. Therapy can also support growth while addressing emotional distress, trauma, and mental health concerns. My clinical background informs my coaching, but coaching does not include mental health diagnosis or treatment. During our consultation, we can discuss which service best fits your needs.

Coaching may be a good fit if you want to make a change, clarify a decision, or move an idea forward—and would welcome perspective, structure, and accountability. You don’t need a fully formed goal to begin. Figuring out what matters and where to focus can be part of our work.

We’ll focus on a goal, decision, or challenge that matters to you. Together, we’ll explore what’s happening, consider possibilities, and identify practical next steps. We’ll also review what you’ve tried, what you’re learning, and where your approach may need adjusting.

These can be meaningful areas of focus. We might examine expectations, self-doubt, overcommitment, or difficulty setting limits, then explore changes that support your goals and well-being. Mindfulness and nervous system regulation practices can help you respond to pressure more intentionally. If your needs call for therapy or other care, we’ll discuss appropriate support.

Yes. We can clarify your vision, identify what’s keeping you from starting, and break the process into manageable steps. I offer support with decision-making, planning, and follow-through. If your project requires specialized business, financial, or legal expertise, we can identify where additional professional input would be useful.

That’s something we can explore together. We’ll look at what gets in the way—such as unclear priorities, unrealistic commitments, self-doubt, or competing demands—and adjust your plan. Accountability is tailored to what motivates you and helps you act, rather than assuming the same approach works for everyone.

Depending on our agreed arrangement, support may include messaging, brief check-ins, and customized resources such as planning tools, reflection prompts, or guided practices. We’ll establish check-in frequency and messaging response expectations at the start, so you know what to expect.

We’ll agree on a session schedule based on your goals, availability, and the support you need. Some goals call for a focused period of work; others benefit from an ongoing partnership. We’ll review progress together and discuss whether continuing, adjusting, or concluding coaching makes sense.

Fees depend on the coaching arrangement, including session frequency and between-session support. During your complimentary consultation, we’ll discuss the options and costs so you can decide whether coaching fits your needs and budget before committing.

Yes. Online coaching is available nationwide, and in-person coaching is available in Branchburg, New Jersey. Your complimentary consultation is an opportunity to discuss your goals, ask questions, and see whether we’re a good fit.
